Intern / Co-op

The Intern/Co-op will assist Research Technicians in conducting cutting edge research with the objective of developing new and advanced nanomaterials for different industries. The Intern/Co-op may provide quality assurance by monitoring conditions, analyzing samples, and recording data. This position requires a close working relationship with our Research Technicians and Scientists to insure continuous innovation of processes.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Prepare chemical solutions
  • Study NanoSpray Combustion synthesis
  • Analyze nanomaterials
  • Record data
  • Maintain a clean and safe lab environment
  • Preparation of quality control measurements

Desired Qualifications

Working toward an AA or BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or Physics is required (individuals that have already taken chemistry is a plus). Some experience in an industry or chemical lab field is desired. The Intern/Co-op should possess good oral communication capability and some written skills. He/she should also have organizational skills to handle multiple laboratory, analytical and clerical tasks, a good ability to prioritize tasks, and be detailed oriented. This position requires a team interaction and team player attitude along with a personality that thrives on a fasted-paced environment.
